Russian ace Andrey Rublev has been in sublime form in all tournaments this season. His latest win was against Fritz, who was beaten in straight sets, and is sure to feel comfortable when he steps on the court against Auger-Aliassime in his first Madrid Open finals. 

On the other hand, his final opponent, Felix Auger-Aliassime, has had an improved run in Madrid. Along with a bit of luck, the Canadian has made it to his first-ever Masters 1000 finals.

En route to his finals, Auger-Aliassime received three walkthroughs, including two back-to-back ones at the quarter-final and the semi-final. Nonetheless, he has shown his improved tennis against Casper Ruud by beating the Norwegian in straight sets.
