Cody Rhodes faced AJ Styles in an ‘I Quit’ match at Clash at the Castle. Although the production quality of WWE PLEs is top-notch, no company is free from errors. A hilarious error made by the WWE VFC team at the Scotland PLE has left fans rolling on the floor laughing.
The WWE Undisputed Champion made his entrance in front of the Scottish crowd who showed him plenty of affection. The Stamford-based promotion often displays name tags during a superstar’s entrance to let the general audience know who they are. However, the one shown for the Champion in Scotland simply referred to him as “Talent Name.”
Furthermore, the name tag introduced Cody Rhodes as the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion rather than his official title. Fans assumed that the VFC and graphics team must have used a generic template for the tag and forgot to update it before the former AEW EVP’s entrance.
Despite the minor error, everything else went smoothly. The match between the two superstars did not disappoint. At one point, Rhodes was even busted up and started bleeding in the middle of the ring. This simply exemplified how personal the feud had gotten after AJ Styles embarrassed the champion by faking his retirement. In the end, the champion retained his title after a hard-fought battle.

This mistake left the wrestling world in splits. They joked that someone would get fired that night for making such a basic error involving the company’s biggest champion. Fans referred to Rhodes as the ‘Belt Collector’ and claimed that the 38-year-old was coming for Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair next.
While no production crew is perfect, fans did call out WWE for making such errors so often. They pointed out how such errors can be seen nearly every month, either at PLEs or the press conferences preceding them.
Netizens mentioned how Rhodes is not the only champion on SmackDown who has faced such an error. Bayley has encountered similar production issues, such as being referred to as the NXT Women’s Champion or her name not showing up at all.
