Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas recently discussed the San Antonio Spurs and their rising superstar, Victor Wembanyama, on his show. Arenas highlighted Wembanyama’s significant development in his three-point shooting, which could potentially allow him to exploit a loophole in the NBA.

Arenas emphasized that Victor Wembanyama‘s unique combination of size (2.21m) and skillset makes him nearly unguardable. With the guidance of legendary point guard Chris Paul, Wembanyama has the potential to rewrite the NBA landscape and dominate the league in ways previously unseen.

There is no one built to guard you down there, you (Victor Wembanyama) can rewrite the game.

Gilbert Arenas said on the Gils Arena Show

Victor Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs’ dominant center, is having a decent season. He’s averaging an impressive 23.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and shooting 47.6% from the field.

According to Gilbert Arenas, Wembanyama is poised to unlock his full potential in his second season and subsequently in his career, particularly with the guidance of veteran point guard Chris Paul. With Paul by his side, Wembanyama is expected to take his game to new heights.

However, Wembanyama was forced to sit out the Spurs’ last home game against the Sacramento Kings on Friday night due to an injury. His absence was deeply felt as the Spurs suffered a crushing 113-140 defeat at the hands of the Kings.

Victor Wembanyama’s teammate receives fine for inappropriate gesture towards referee

San Antonio Spurs center Zach Collins was fined $35,000 by the NBA on Saturday for making an obscene gesture on the court after being ejected. Collins was thrown out with nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter of the Spurs’ 140-113 home loss to Sacramento on Friday night.

Collins was ejected after picking up his second technical foul, but it’s what he did afterward that drew the attention of NBA disciplinarians. After being ejected, Collins didn’t immediately leave the court, instead flipping off Michael Smith, who has spent more than three decades as an NBA referee.

The league took swift action, imposing a $35,000 fine on Collins for his unacceptable behavior. Collins, a seven-year veteran, is currently averaging six points and 3.3 rebounds in 23 games this season.
