The rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has escalated to an extreme point. However, one important piece of the puzzle is Seth Rollins, who has been equally involved in the storyline. WWE has planned a huge grudge match between the two stars at SummerSlam, and according to reports, The Visionary might have an important role to play in it.
According to WrestleVotes, the current plan for Seth Rollins is to be a special guest referee at SummerSlam. His inclusion in the match, long after CM Punk and Drew McIntyre‘s constant verbal war, will certainly add extra fuel to the fire. The Architect and The Scottish Warrior engaged in a physical confrontation on this week’s episode of Raw.
On Monday Night Raw, General Manager Adam Pearce demanded an apology from McIntyre. After a failed cash-in at the Money in the Bank PLE, the former WWE Champion wreaked havoc and even hurt Pearce. All he had to do was apologize to revoke the suspension. However, he attacked the same two referees before Rollins finally made the save.
One question on every fan’s mind is whether Punk will be able to compete at SummerSlam. If Punk receives clearance to wrestle, the likelihood of the match becoming official between the two rivals eager to destroy each other is high. Only time will tell what transpires at the biggest event of the summer.
Drew McIntyre took another shot at his arch-rival CM Punk on social media
The Scottish Warrior never leaves a chance to take a shot at his nemesis, CM Punk. Recently, WWE released The Leader of the Straight Edge Society’s classic merchandise, including a Nexus t-shirt. Raw commentator Wade Barrett took personal offense to this and complained about it on social media.
Barrett took to X and expressed his anger over the Nexus jersey being made available. Not only that, but he also called for the merchandise department to receive a beating. When he tagged McIntyre as well, he responded by saying that he’d rather wear a Corre shirt. He was referring to the villainous stable consisting of Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, and Ezekiel Jackson.

The group disbanded after some time, and the British wrestler went on his own. He even succeeded in capturing the Intercontinental Championship and helped restore its prestige. Fans are clamoring for his return to the ring. As such, only time will tell whether Barrett and The Best in the World will engage in a battle as well.
