Brock Lesnar is undeniably one of WWE’s biggest stars, known for his extraordinary presence in the ring that captivates fans worldwide. However, since August 2023, The Beast has been absent from professional wrestling. With WrestleMania 41 preparations in full swing, rumors of the former WWE Champion’s return have been rampant. Now, a major report has surfaced, shedding light on Lesnar’s ultimate future.

According to Dr. Chris Featherstone, there have been no internal discussions about Lesnar’s return to WWE. The management reportedly has no creative plans for the former UFC Champion, especially after his name was linked to the Janel Grant-Vince McMahon lawsuit earlier this year. As a result, the 47-year-old is not expected to return to the Stamford-based promotion anytime soon.

Reports previously suggested that WWE had planned Lesnar’s return for the Royal Rumble 2024. However, those plans were reportedly scrapped after his name surfaced in the s*x trafficking lawsuit. While Triple H has stated that WWE and the former WWE Champion remain on good terms, it seems the controversy surrounding The Beast Incarnate is far from over.

The 47-year-old was recently spotted in a viral picture alongside his wife, Sable, appearing to be in good spirits despite his absence from the WWE ring. Interestingly, SummerSlam 2026 is set to take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lesnar’s hometown. This has sparked speculation that former UFC Champion might return around that time to announce his official retirement.

Vince Russo justified Brock Lesnar’s overpush in WWE under the regime of Vince McMahon

Brock Lesnar is renowned for his dominant and overpowering persona in WWE. Over the years, The Beast has thrived even in situations where the odds were stacked against him. Recently, former WWE writer Vince Russo discussed this aspect of Lesnar’s character, highlighting how he was often portrayed as nearly invincible, particularly during Vince McMahon’s tenure.

Speaking on Writing With Russo, the former WCW head writer explained that Lesnar’s character was naturally over with the fans. He also compared Lesnar to Goldberg, another superstar who was immensely popular with the WWE Universe. Russo noted that it became essential to portray such characters as nearly invincible to justify the immense hype surrounding them.

I mean, they’re not over because of him. They’re not over because of Triple H. That’s why they’re not over, so he had no other choice but to do what he did, but that doesn’t solve your problem of people not being over.

Russo further pointed out that the immense hype surrounding stars like Lesnar often led to controversial moments, such as Lesnar’s infamous match against Kofi Kingston on SmackDown. He explained that had Kingston dominated The Beast, it would have undermined Lesnar’s credibility and made little sense for WWE’s long-term storytelling.
