The Saudi Arabian PLEs are often huge shows on the annual WWE calendar. The Saudi Government often has huge demands for superstar appearances and a huge budget to back them up. Thus, wrestling legends appearing on these shows are nothing new. With Crown Jewel right around the corner, many fans are theorizing about an appearance by Bill Goldberg.

According to PWInsider, Goldberg is not scheduled to be in Saudi Arabia over the Crown Jewel weekend and likely will not make an appearance at the show. The prevailing fan theory is that the WCW legend would run interference during the Crown Jewel Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Gunther. He would likely cost the Ring General the match, setting up an eventual feud between the two.

The former Universal Champion was mentioned by Gunther in a promo against Bret Hart in his home country of Canada. Surprisingly, Goldberg was present in the crowd during the recent Bad Blood PLE in Atlanta, Georgia.

The World Heavyweight Champion took several shots at Goldberg at Bad Blood. He made fun of him for being a bad father and not being able to go in the ring for longer periods of time. The 57-year-old was not having it and jumped the barricade to confront Gunther. However, Sami Zayn would eventually take out the Austrian ahead of their match on Raw the next day.

Bret Hart claims Goldberg got off easy for ending his career

The September 9th, 2024, episode of Raw emanated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The crowd was treated to a special appearance from Hall of Famer Bret Hart. However, his promo was cut short by Gunther, who told the former WWE Champion that he would always be second to his actual favorite, Goldberg.

Despite the comment, Hart remained stoic and chose not to react to the insult. However, this does not mean that he is over his rivalry with the 57-year-old. In an interview with The Wrestling Classic, the Canadian legend stated that Goldberg had gotten off easy after everything that he did to him.

I think Bill got off light.

Bret Hart has had a real-life rivalry with the former World Heavyweight Champion. The Canadian suffered a major injury during their match at WCW Starrcade 1999. The injury effectively ended his in-ring career, and he still blames his opponent to this date for his professional wrestling career coming to a close.
