LA Knight was written off from WWE programming a few weeks ago on Raw. The fans shouldn't expect him back before 2026.

LA Knight was subject to a brutal beatdown at the hands of The Vision a couple of weeks ago on Raw. It was later announced that the 43-year-old consequently suffered a cracked sternum and would be out of action for an indefinite period of time.
A new update has emerged on the potential timeline for Knight’s return to WWE programming. Sean Ross Sapp noted in the ‘Select Answers’ section that whatever transpired with ‘The Megastar’ on the 12/8 edition of Raw doesn’t reek of a burial.
The scoopster mentioned how Knight made it to the finals of The Last Time Is Now tournament, also beating Jey Uso along the way. Sapp didn’t comment on Knight’s immediate WWE future plans other than regurgitating that he has years left on his contract.
I can’t speak to his future outside of him having years left on his contract, but I don’t see it as a burial. Not everyone can be the world champion at the same time. I think this is the type of reaction WWE wants to conjure up, and I’ve been saying that since August. He’s off until 2026 at least.

Sapp said Knight will be off WWE TV until at least the new year. The fans were, and pretty much still are, miffed about the way WWE has treated LA Knight for the majority of his time on the main roster. While the audience was, in general, unhappy about the creative direction of ‘The Megastar’.
Moreover, him getting pinned by Logan Paul and the subsequent tsunami by Bronson Reed on the hood of an SUV only exacerbated the cause. The wrestling circles on social media could be seen putting out a myriad of posts slamming WWE for essentially “burying” the former US Champion with that sort of an angle.
Fightful, as quoted above, had previously reported that the WWE officials were surprised by the overwhelmingly negative responses to Knight’s booking from a few days ago.
WWE sources confirmed to @FightfulSelect that LA Knight still has years left on his WWE deal, and were surprised that some fans considered Monday's angle a burial.

The ambush of Knight by The Vision was a typical pro wrestling angle that would be revisited inevitably, the report mentioned. BodySlam noted on its Patreon that WWE has internally listed the Maryland native as one of its top babyfaces.
His involvement with the faction comprising Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Logan Paul is expected to grow the crowd reactions in a more positive way for ‘The Megastar’, and he’s pegged for a much better year in 2026.
Stevie Richards flags massive concern about LA Knight’s recent WWE angle
Not only the fans but also industry veterans are perplexed with LA Knight’s standing in WWE. In fact, a 54-year-old retired wrestler, who’s held the WWE Hardcore Championship a staggering 21 times, recently dissected the potential conspiracy theory behind Knight’s unfortunate string of losses in WWE.

The name in question is none other than Stevie Richards, who, with co-host James Romero, spoke about ‘The Megastar’ at length on The Stevie Richards Show. The Pennsylvania native claimed there’s someone back there in the office, who could be Triple H or someone else, who doesn’t believe that LA Knight has what it takes to break the glass ceiling in WWE.
It seems like somebody in the office, whether it’s Triple H or anybody just does not think he can break the glass ceiling.……I don’t know if he’s hurt. I hope he’s hurt and that’s why they did it. Any other reason outsdide being injured and not being available and having to take time off, they’re burying this guy. Why?
Stevie Richards on LA Knight
While Richards admitted that Knight is popular enough among the fans to stay over until a certain point in time, he also expressed concerns about Knight’s appeal fizzling out if WWE continues doing him dirty through questionable booking decisions.
‘The Master of the Stevie Kick’ also reviewed the segment from Raw where LA Knight got annihilated by The Vision. Richards wondered if Knight was dealing with an injury that forced WWE to write him off. Because if that weren’t the case, the former Blue World Order leader would deem it as a burial of the erstwhile Eli Drake.
