The Milwaukee Bucks recently played against the Detroit Pistons. Going into this game, both teams need a crucial win to secure their Playoff qualification chances. Notably, all eyes were on Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo for this game. However, the Bucks star got involved in a fiery tussle with the Pistons star man Malik Beasley.

Antetokounmpo and Beasley got into a heated argument late in the game, with Antetokounmpo imitating Beasley’s trademark shimmy celebration after blocking Malik’s shot. Malik took that personally as some words were exchanged on the court. He did not stop there as he took to his Twitter account to make things clear at the moment.

Let someone stand over you, hit your ish , then try to help me up .. in what world would you let that slide in? Idc how goofy he is lol

Malik Beasley tweeted

The move that annoyed Malik the most was after Antetokounmpo mocked Malik, he offered a hand to pick him up from the court. This did not sit well with the Pistons star. Now, the Bucks veteran is known for his ‘goofy’ nature, something that Malik is unconcerned about as per his X post.

Some might characterize Beasley’s criticism of that as hypocritical. However, when the two teams meet again on Sunday, a victory for the Pistons would keep their hopes of passing the Bucks alive, while a victory for the Bucks would secure them fifth place. Consequently, there was undoubtedly some emotion at play.

Not only that, all attention will also drift onto Antetokounmpo and Beasley’s matchup on the court. Surely there will be some bad blood between them on Sunday, and fans cannot wait to see how it unfolds.

NBA legend Kendrick Perkins raved about Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo

Midway through the 2024-25 NBA season, the Bucks were performing extremely poorly. This led to many doubts over their roster especially their star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s performances. Now, with hardly 2 games remaining in the regular NBA season, the Bucks have almost secured a Playoff spot, with Giannis leading the side.

In addition, this led to NBA legend Kendrick Perkins making a bold claim about the Bucks star on a recent segment of the NBA on ESPN show.

In my eyes, Giannis is the second-greatest power forward of all time behind Tim Duncan.

Kendrick Perkins said

The legendary San Antonio Spurs player has long been regarded as one of the NBA’s greatest power forwards. For Perkins to compare a legend like Tim Duncan to Antetokounmpo speaks volumes of how high he holds the Bucks star in his books.

Antetokounmpo has matched his points per game from the previous season with an average of 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game this season. He has won two MVP awards during his career and continues to rank in the top tier of the NBA in terms of overall efficiency.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had some important ‘advice’ regarding the NBA Playoffs

The 2024-25 NBA regular season is coming to an end and all the drama with it too. But the drama doesn’t end here, now the main competition starts i.e the NBA Playoffs. Teams battled it out over the years to qualify for the playoffs. In addition, Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo had some interesting advice regarding the playoffs.

It’s totally different in the playoffs. The intensity is higher, the attention to detail is different. The physicality is different… It’s not the same.

The MVP of the Finals is aware of what he says. Before this season, Antetokounmpo had paved the path for eight straight postseason trips, including two trips to the Eastern Conference Finals and Milwaukee’s 2021 championship quest. Now, the star will be focusing on another NBA championship run with his side like he did back in 2021.
