The New York Giants took a 28-3 beating at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, creating a rift between Malik Nabers and Daniel Jones. It was Nabers’ first game since his blow to the head a few weeks ago.
Nabers was hoping for a positive return to football, but it ended horribly. Head coach Brian Daboll benched Daniel Jones after he threw for just 99 yards despite playing for three quarters. Drew Lock replaced him for the rest of the game, but the outcome remained the same.
During the post-match press conference, reporters asked Nabers to describe his quiet outing and rate Jones’ play, he calmly pointed out what went wrong.
Malik Nabers was asked if the Eagles' defense did anything differently in the first half that he hadn't seen on film:

The 21-year-old caught just four passes from eight targets for 41 yards against the Eagles.
Malik Nabers doesn’t remember the tackle which left him with a concussion
Two weeks ago, the Giants were playing the Cowboys at home. Nabers was carted away after a tackle left him unable to properly walk. Replays showed a blow to the head, and later Coach Daboll revealed that the rookie wideout suffered a concussion.
Under the league’s regulations, players aren’t allowed to participate in any kind of training when on the concussion protocol, so Nabers stayed away.
A fortnight later, the medical team allowed him to train, but with the guardian cap on. He was eventually taken off the protocol, and Daboll announced his inclusion for the Eagles game.
On Friday, Nabers spoke with the media and revealed that he doesn’t remember the moment he suffered the concussion.
According to the LSU graduate, the last thing he remembers before hitting the turf was Daniel Jones throwing him the ball. However, a few days after the incident, he was seen enjoying a Travis Scott concert, which drew a lot of ire from fans.
The Giants selected Nabers 6th overall in the latest NFL draft. So far, this season he has 35 receptions from 52 targets for 386 yards and 3 touchdowns.
