The quarterback position might remain uncertain in the New York Giants. They appeared to be thinking of strengthening the offense by adding weapons such as Colorado two-way superstar Travis Hunter. Amid the growing rumors, wide receiver Malik Nabers showered high praise on the young wide receiver– labeling him the “best player” in collegiate football.
Travis Hunter, who recently became the Big 12 Player of the Year, is currently leading the Heisman race after his exceptional 2024 campaign, despite his team not qualifying for the playoffs. Recently, Nabers– who was the top wide receiver of his batch, was asked about Hunter’s abilities and his response has only fired up the ongoing speculations connecting the two-way superstar to the Giants.

While Nabers was a master of playing on the one side of the ball like most of the players in the league, Hunter is counted among the best athletes in the country. However, he may have to make the ultimate decision of choosing which side of the ball– defense or offense, he wants to play as there have been a player in history to play on both sides together.
Giants to choose between QB prospects Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward
Despite the rumors of potentially picking the wide receiver using the top overall pick, the team is most likely to pick a quarterback since Jones is no longer in the picture. When Nabers was asked which quarterback he considers best suited for New York he dialed down to two names: Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward.
Considering the collapse of this season at 2-10, the Giants are projected to have the first overall pick. While Sanders is said to be a possibility, Ward is considered a safe and relying choice for the Giants for a new rejuvenating era.
