Ever since Malik Nabers was drafted by the New York Giants, the general consensus has been that he is a stud receiver. There is a reason he was the second wide receiver off the board in a draft that had plenty of good to great receivers. So far, the rookie has made the Giants look like winners, with his practices even drawing comparisons to those of one of their former superstars, Odell Beckham Jr.

Giants beat reporter Art Stapleton observed the players at the OTAs. But Malik Nabers caught his eye, which led him to share this on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

I have not seen a receiver have a practice like he did today since Odell. Wish I can give you more than words and the video is the team opts to put out. Jumped off the page, so to speak. If this were training camp, my word.
Art Stapleton wrote on X

This is high praise coming from a reporter who has been around the team for quite some time. To compare Nabers to Odell Beckham Jr. at this stage might be too early, but at least he must have seen the signs.

Beckham Jr.’s catching ability was second to none. But what made him great was his ability to run the route to perfection and separate off from defenders. Expecting Nabers to have the catching ability of their former superstar is a reach.

However, his skills in other aspects might have led Stapleton to sing such high praises. If Stapleton’s words are to be believed, then the New York Giants have another star in the making.

Malik Nabers giving it all despite rumored to be unhappy

After the draft, Malik Nabers was put into a difficult spot. He had to avoid answering the question directly when a reporter asked him what he felt about Daniel Jones. Later, when the Giants revealed their throwback uniforms, the rookie had a cold reaction.

From these two instances it might seem that the former LSU standout might be unhappy. But his true feelings are unknown at this point. Even if he is unhappy, he is not letting it get to his head. Nabers knows his future in the league depends on how he performs.

Yes, Daniel Jones has to throw him the ball for him to perform, but Nabers knows that if he gives it his best, the chances for disappointment are reduced. No wonder he is giving it his all in practice as he wants to make a mark on the franchise right from the start.
