Regardless of how harsh and candid Malik Nabers appears, he always articulates well-considered thoughts when addressing the media. And this goes for his pointed remarks about head coach Brian Daboll, which he maintains he does not regret, even after confirming that he spoke directly to him about his comment.
Following the disappointing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which also marked the first game with his former franchise quarterback Daniel Jones, Nabers was quite candid in the post-game press conference about his frustration with receiving fewer targets, and he may have crossed the line when he described his offense “soft as f**k.”
However, when the Giants’ head coach was asked about Nabers’ stern comments, he acknowledged them as valid after sharing that he spoke to the rookie wide receiver about it. On Tuesday, Nabers confirmed his conversation with Daboll and stated that he has no regrets about his comments to the reporters.
"If I had an opportunity to go back and change the words that I said, I would. I still stand on what I said. I said it. I don't have no regrets with what I said."

Interestingly, Nabers had made another remark on Monday, stating that the Giants’ overall problem does not stem from their quarterback situation. Although he did not elaborate, this remark came in the wake of the team’s decision to release Jones– which raised eyebrows among players and fans.
Malik Nabers admits to miscommunication in offense
While the Giants’ leading receiver does not regret his comments, he certainly wishes to have used “different words.” While addressing the reporters on Tuesday, he admitted having a conversation with General Manager Joe Schoen but did not share the content, though he altered his statement of describing his offensive line as ‘soft.’
He stated that, after reviewing the game, he realized he wasn’t entirely overlooked in the first half, contrary to how it appeared to everyone.
The team attempted to get him the ball a couple of times in the first half. Due to this miscommunication, the wideout finished the week 12 game with six catches on nine targets (all in the second half) for 64 yards.
