Things appeared to be taking an ugly turn inside the New York Giants camp as they sunk to a 2-9 record following a humiliating 30-7 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12. Star rookie Malik Nabers added another layer to the ongoing controversy by deflecting questions to head coach Brian Daboll.
Nabers, who returned from a groin injury, did not hold back in the post-game press conference when asked why he was not targeted by the team in the first team, given he received nine targets– all in the second half.
This only intensified his frustration, as he knew he was more than capable of turning things around. In the third quarter, he was targeted three times right away and successfully caught all three passes on the first drive, following the empty first half.
"I started getting the ball when it's 30-0. What do you want me to do?"

If this wasn’t enough, the wide receiver also criticized the Giants’ offense, calling it “soft as ****,” after it benched quarterback Daniel Jones, followed by demotion to quarterback No. 4 depth and then, finally released from the team. Nabers finished the game with six catches for 64 yards.
Giants fans demanding Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll to get fired
Since letting go of star running back Saquon Barkley, Giants General Manager Joe Schoen has fallen out of favor with fans. And after they released Jones, who is now expected to join a playoff-contending team, fans are demanding Schoen to get fired, along with head coach Daboll amid the disastrous 2-9 season.
One fan wrote, “Dabs is a fraud!!! The players know!! He sucks. The made Jones the scapegoat,” while another joined in, writing, “Joe Schoen should’ve been gone after letting Barkley walk and keeping DJ.”

Daboll is a terrible head coach and that's coming from a Bills fan. Guy should be fired

Now that they can no longer use DJ as the scapegoat, the real issue has emerged.

Unfolding fast. After Thanksgiving time for Mara to Fire GM& Coach. It’s sad times

Hopefully this gets Daboll fired. Nabers is wasted here. Where's the 'great receivers make QBs better' crowd? Selecting a WR top10 without a QB and much roster talent would always end up like this. He'd be pissed not being able to influence games. I knew this, Joe Schoen didn't.

Daboll has lost the locker room

Letting Saquon leave and go to a division rival was the nail in the coffin for that bozo Joe Schoen

Even though owner John Mara insisted on keeping the General Manager and head coach for another season, sources say the team is considering firing them. NFL and NY Giants Insider Wesley Steinberg reported that the Giants are firing Daboll and Schoen, following the sixth consecutive loss of the season.
