The New York Giants are a special organization. The team can drain the morale of an enthusiastic college player in just one season. The Giants’ 2024 first-round draft pick, Malik Nabers, showed that he has immense potential and performed in a season where he played with three different quarterbacks.

As the Giants gear up to draft a quarterback from this draft, Malik Nabers has hinted at wanting out of the franchise if they mess this decision up. The wide receiver was asked which quarterback in NFL history would he want to catch passes from. Note that the question specifies NFL history, so it means active and retired players.

Malik Nabers could have gone with Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, John Elway, or Joe Montana, but his response was interesting. Nabers named Jayden Daniels.

The interviewer (Streamer FaZe Lacy) asked him about the possibility of them playing together, to which the wideout replied, “You never know.” His response was not as surprising because Nabers and Daniels went to LSU, where they played together.

The Commanders would be an offensive powerhouse with Malik Nabers on the team

They have chemistry on the field and that translates to the NFL too. From the 2024 draft class, Nabers and Daniels have been the two stand-out candidates.

The rookies have had an immediate and profound impact on their respective teams in their first year. Jayden Daniels took the Washington Commanders to the brink of a Super Bowl appearance, while Nabers continued to play hard despite finding himself in an unfavorable environment.

While the possibility of an NFL union between Malik Nabers and Jayden Daniels is unlikely at the moment, it could happen in the future. That will remain contingent on the team’s performance in the 2025 draft. If NY chooses a good quarterback who can grow to be their franchise man, then Nabers will want to stay in the Big Apple.

However, if things begin to go south once again, then Nabers is likely to ask for a trade. For now, it seems that Shedeur Sanders will be New York’s next quarterback, a possibility that Malik Nabers does not seem to be enthusiastic about.

The Giants interviewed Jayden Daniels ahead of the 2024 draft and considered drafting him. A video of HC Brian Daboll interviewing him and picking his brains with him sitting at the whiteboard can be found online. However, they chose to rely on Daniel Jones and draft Malik Nabers instead. They did do well, but in retrospect, New York missed out on the opportunity of drafting an elite talent at QB.
