They are looking to sign him in the ongoing winter transfer window. They want to strengthen their defensive options, but their first bid for the player was rejected by the Brazilian club. Nevertheless, the two sides have continued with their negotiations. 

Reis has been one of the players who has been making a name for himself since he started playing for the first team at Palemiras. This Brazilian club has given rise to many teenage sensations in recent times who have moved to Europe. It looks like Reis is going to be the latest of the lot. Football fans and analysts consider him the one to look out for in the future.

Can Manchester City sign Vitor Reis in the winter transfer window?

Manchester City need a boost in order to qualify for Europe next season. So far, they have not had a perfect season. The club remains close to signing Vitor Reis, but their opening bid was rejected. City won’t have any issues in striking a deal with the player. The main problem lies in convincing Palmeiras to sell their young defender in the winter transfer window.

Palmeiras want to retain their wonderkid at least till the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in which they are participating. So, the Brazilian club won’t look to sell or accept the bid of City in the ongoing transfer window.
