Manchester City rejects Neymar in a Bernardo Silva swap deal after PSG’s offer: Reports

Sensational rumors claim that Paris Saint-Germain offered Neymar to Manchester City. But the Premier League winners appear to have rejected their proposal for a swap deal with Bernardo Silva going the opposite way.

Le Parisien claims that the French behemoths approached City recently. Despite the fact that the most expensive player in the world activated a provision in his contract tying him down until 2027, they are reportedly seeking to try to transfer him this summer.

However, no agreement could be reached with City, who continued to put their emphasis on finding youthful talent rather than signing the 30-year-old Neymar. In the current transfer window, City has purchased Erling Haaland, Kalvin Philipps, and Julian Alvarez while also offloading Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling.

Silva has also been connected to a departure as Barcelona attempted to close a deal. However, Pep Guardiola is fighting tooth and nail to hang onto the Portuguese midfielder who was one of his star performers during the title-winning campaign the season before.

The former Monaco star now appears certain to remain at the Etihad for the sixth season and hopes to add to his incredible collection of nine titles. Currently, Neymar and his PSG teammates are in Japan.

As they become accustomed to working with new manager Christophe Galtier, they have left on a ten-day preseason trip in the Far East.

Galtier also stated that he wants the £600,000-a-week ace to remain at the Parc des Princes despite ties to Chelsea and Manchester United. He declared: “He’s one of the greatest in the world” during his first news conference after succeeding Mauricio Pochettino.

In his first news conference since taking over for Mauricio Pochettino, he remarked: “He’s one of the best in the world. What coach wouldn’t want to have him? I have a very clear idea of what I’ll expect from him.

“Of course I want him to stay.”
