Manchester United are closing in on Edison Cavani!

Manchester United are looking to sign Edison Cavani. The Uruguayan striker left Paris Saint Germain at the end of last season.

United have failed to negotiate with Borussia Dortmund about the Sancho deal. However they’re hoping they can still bring in Alex Telles. The left back hails from FC Porto.

Popular transfer window spokesman Fabrizio Romano tweeted and confirms the news. Manchester United were initially looking at Luka Jovic as an option. The Croatian has failed at Real Madrid and has been on the sidelines.

However that deal too looks dodgy at the moment. Edison Cavani can prove to be an excellent short term option. The Uruguayan is experienced and has scored a lot of goals fro PSG.

According to reports personal terms with Edison Cavani have been agreed. The Reds are confident about sealing the deal. However Cavani is charging a huge amount of wages. It’s in the range of 10 million pounds a year.

Moreover it’s being said that the agent fees too is very high. Among other clubs who were interested are Benfica and Atletico Madrid.
