Italian newspaper Calciomercato has reported that Manchester United are giving their all to sign Patrick Dorgu. The player has performed really well for Italian club US Leece. Quite a number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing him in the ongoing transfer window. United are first on the priority list, and he could go on to become one of the best signings for the Red Devils.
Solo Leece has also reported that the player himself wants to move to Old Trafford and is pushing his club to complete and agree to a deal. This is very good news for Manchester United, and Leece will hope that they can sell him for a good profit in the transfer window. Leece values the player at €35-40 million.
Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have struggled with injury and form issues. Hence, Manchester United need a quality left-back signing. The 20-year-old is one of the brightest talents in that position and can turn out to serve the Red Devils for a considerable period of time.
United are 13th in the Premier League points table with 26 points in 22 matches. Ruben Amorim will need some good signings in order to elevate his squad in the back half of the season. Dorgu has conceded 34 goals and kept 4 clean sheets in 20 matches in the Serie A 2024/2025 season. That means when Dorgu is on the pitch, his team concedes a goal every 52 minutes.
Meanwhile, the young defender has scored three goals in 20 matches so far in the Serie A 2024/2025 season. Overall, Dorgu’s goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.15. Moreover, Dorgu’s total G/A (goals + assists) is four for this season. The asking price right now, but Dorgu has the talent to justify his price tag at Manchester United.

The Argentine Alejandro Garnacho has been linked with a possible departure from United. Following the game against Rangers, the player posted a cryptic message, which has made it quite clear that the Argentine is leaving Old Trafford. Chelsea are interested in signing the player, and United will hope for a sum of €60 million for selling him, reports Manchester World journalist Rich Fay.
Amorim and the club have already started looking for his replacements and have identified Tyler Dibling as the one to replace the departing Garnacho. The 18-year-old Southampton kid is one of the best young players in the Premier League and is very much liked by United.
Southampton wants £55m for him as per the report, which has made United think of the £60m value for Garnacho as much less. However, if Southampton gets relegated this season, the price of Dibling could come down in the summer. It remains to be seen what United finally decides about this move.
