€70 million worth midfielder set to be offloaded in January from Manchester United

Casemiro was brought to Manchester United from Real Madrid with high hopes of reinforcing the Red Devils’ midfield. After a short spell of impressive games under Ten Hag, things started to go wrong for the Brazilian.

An injury setback paired with a run of costly errors at the later end of last season gave a negative image in the minds of several fans about the player.

Things have reached the point where the 32-year-old is no longer preferred by the manager. As of late, Ten Hag is more comfortable with a midfield of Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte and Christian Eriksen. News of his departure has been circulating on mainstream media ever since the club attempted to offload him in the summer.

While many thought he will depart to Saudi in the summer window, the decision to keep him till January came as a surprise.

I’m told they’ll look to cash in on him as soon as they can, on the 1st January if possible.

Former United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider

However, the lack of game time and a recent comment from has all but confirmed his departure. The club are so desperate to offload him that they may even cash in on him on the 1st offer.
