Ex-Manchester United player and football pundit Gary Neville slammed Marcus Rashford and Casemiro, questioning their ‘unprofessionalism’. Neville’s comments were a response to the United duo’s recent holiday to the US, during the international break.

Marcus Rashford enjoyed the recent international break in the US, after being left out of Lee Carsley’s England side for the second successive time. He traveled to New York, and was spotted enjoying an NBA match between NY Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. Meanwhile, midfielder Casemiro, who no longer plays for the Brazilian national team, also jetted to the United States to enjoy a holiday. The 32-year-old player traveled to Orlando with his family, and also shared pictures of his visit to Disney World.

This however, did not hold well with Man Utd legend Gary Neville, who criticized the duo for their ‘unprofessional’ attitude. Neville exclaimed that it was not right for the two players to travel to the US, amid the club’s poor season. He also pointed to the jet lag that they would face upon arriving, as well as the fitness issues arising from the 12-hour long flight journey. While labeling the duo’s US trip as ‘non-rechargeable’, Neville also suggested that the two might struggle against Ipswich, who they face next.

They went to Portland, and I’m asking the question based on professionalism – you’re playing badly, the team is losing, you’re 13th in the league, would you choose that trip as a break to recharge your batteries?

Marcus Rashford has not been in the best of his form this season, having scored just four goals in 18 matches. His unprofessional attitude had been questioned last season by former boss Erik ten Hag, after he called in ‘sick’ after partying and drinking in Belfast.

Amad Diallo might have an edge over Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford under Ruben Amorim

Newly appointed Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim could opt to start youngster Amad Diallo over Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford, in the team’s lineup. Amorim’s tactical approach and strategy is what has been talked about most, since his arrival at the Old Trafford.

The Portuguese boss could introduce his successful 3-4-3 lineup at United. However with his arrival, a number of prominent players fear missing out on a place in the starting XI. Two of them could be Garnacho and Rashford, with Amorim’s strategy suiting Diallo best. The Ivorian is a goal-scorer as well as a play-maker, and possesses far more pressing intensity and covers more ground than the other two.

Diallo, however, has received fewer opportunities, making just eight starts out of 18 matches this season. He has already scored three goals and assisted two more, most recently striking a brilliant brace against PAOK in a UEL encounter.
