Manchester United played a thrilling 2-2 draw with Liverpool. United could have stolen the show as well had Harry Maguire been on target with the last kick of the day. Amidst the mixed-bag displays of all the players, Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold had a rare off day in the office. Former Manchester United player Roy Keane ripped into the English international in his own flavour.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid. Fans and experts attributed TAA’s potential transfer to Madrid a distracting factor. However, Liverpool boss Arne Slot pointed out that the rumours had nothing to do with it; rather, it was the duo of Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot that left him troubled. Nevertheless, Roy Keane didn’t let the opportunity slide.
It’s too easy. Them [sic] chances for United [come from] a couple of balls over the top. We talk about how brilliant Trent is going forward, but Trent’s defending today; my goodness it’s like schoolboy stuff. There’s talk about him going to Real Madrid, the way he’s defending he’s going to Tranmere Rovers after this. He’s got to do better.
Roy Keane told to Sky Sports
“People are talking about Trent going to Real Madrid… He’ll be going to Tranmere Rovers at this rate!”

Tranmere, who currently sit 20th in the League Two points table, responded to the statement, saying, ‘Trent to Tranmere Roy? Nah, we’re alright thanks.’ It was definitely a great game of football as the two stalwarts of the Premier League duked it out for supremacy. Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo were the scorers for Manchester United, while the brilliance of Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah restored parity for Liverpool.
Liverpool might have opened up to offers coming in for Darwin Nunez – Reports
Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez, who was brought on as a substitute for Luis Diaz, had an ordinary outing on Sunday. This once again led to the rising rumours of Liverpool letting Nunez go, once and for all. Previously, Football Insider’s Peter O’Rourke reported that Newcastle United might have a deal for Nunez, but in a later statement, that was rendered null and void.

As per a new report by Football Insider, it has been stated that Liverpool are open to accepting offers of £50-60m for the Uruguayan forward. Ever since the arrival of Arne Slot, Nunez has been a part of 23 matches and has scored only four goals, which has been an alarming cause for the Reds think tank.
