Marcus Rashford’s representatives have reportedly arrived in Italy to hold exploratory talks with AC Milan ahead of the player’s potential move to the Serie A. The move will likely happen during the ongoing transfer window. The 26-year-old forward might soon be on his way out of Manchester United.
A Manchester United academy product, Marcus Rashford is seemingly nearing the end of his 20-year-long association with the club. This development comes despite his contract expiring three years later in 2028. He has fallen out of favor with new manager Ruben Amorim.
The Englishman had most recently remarked that he is prepared for a ‘new challenge.’ Rashford has not featured in United’s squad for the last one month. Amid uncertainty surrounding his future, Rashford’s brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard landed in Milan to hold discussions with the Rossoneri’s recruitment staff.
AC Milan has reportedly tabled a formal loan offer for the English forward. The Serie A giants, led by newly appointed manager Sergio Conceicao, are assessing options to reinforce the attack, in order to put their league campaign back on track. However, Rashford would face stiff competition at Milan from Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao.

Additionally, the 26-year-old’s massive weekly wages of £325,000k could make it difficult for AC Milan. As such, they might opt for a short-term loan deal. Meanwhile Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are also interested in acquiring Marcus Rashford on loan until the end of the season.
Manchester United prioritize three big-money exits this January, including forward Marcus Rashford
EPL giants Manchester United have reportedly prepared a three-man list of the club’s biggest earners, who might be on their way out of Old Trafford this January. The club is willing to cut down on its annual wage bill and put several players up for sale.
United desperately need funds in order to finance their future transfer demands, and to keep hold of the club’s youngsters. Recent reports indicate that the club has identified Marcus Rahsford, Casemiro and Antony as players, who could move out to make free space. Forward Joshua Zirkzee could also be offloaded during the ongoing January transfer window, just six months after signing for the club.

Moreover, these sales would help Manchester United’s new manager Ruben Amorim land his top summer targets next season. He is hoping to reunite with Sporting CP talent Viktor Gyokeres, with the Swedish forward commanding a massive £80 million release clause. As such, it remains to be seen if Rashford, Casemiro, and Antony leave during the January transfer window.
