Fans cited the names of several other players who started performing well after parting ways with Erik ten Hag and United. De Gea recently helped Fiorentina pick up a thrilling 2-1 win over AC Milan, making two massive penalty saves.

McTominay’s Napoli are top of Serie A with 16 points from their first seven games. They have won all except one of their League games, with a 0-0 draw to Juventus as well. As for Fiorentina, the club have picked up form after a run of draws and defeats. De Gea has managed to keep his side afloat at 11th after making some crucial saves along the way.
