Manchester United will use the Argentine goalkeeper in an exchange deal to get Aston Villa star, Jack Grealish. All around last month, the club tried to convince Borussia Dortmund over Jadon Sancho signing. But that pursuit is officially off with Dortmund reluctant to sell their star man this summer. Hence, the board is turning towards to their next man on the transfer shortlist to bolster their front-line.
Dean smith has the 24 year old to thank for their premier league survival. Grealish has contributed 18 goals in all competition but most significantly scored in vital moments for his side. Thus, speculations are arising that this might be the team to pack up his bags and move to a level higher. He has already spoken his desire to play for Manchester United. Villa are stubborn to let their superstar go but this new deal might break their threshold.
Villa’s Goalkeeper disarrays
The Villians will not wish to dangle in another relegation battle in the upcoming season. For that, they need to resolve matters in the last line of defense. Among other parts that need a revamp, goalkeeping position comes into question. At the beginning of the season, Villa brought Tom Heaton to Burnley but unfortunately he failed to replicate his brilliance at the club. The Birmingham based club then brought in veteran Pepe Raina on loan from Ac Milan for the second half of the campaign. The situation remained the same with the former Liverpool keeper proving to be error-prone and inconsistent.
Reports have emerged that Villa could be boosted by a deal prepared by Manchester United. Sergio Romero is believed to be getting increasingly frustrated for not getting a chance to guard the net in major cup ties. Solksjear dumped him for first choice David De Gea in a semifinal tie yet again. The outcome was also the same as Red Devil faced elimination from the Europa league. This has forced him to look for new grounds to play with the Argentinian International now being involved in a swap deal.

For Villa, it will mean a great acquisition. An experienced goalkeeper like Romero will surely give them a required boost at the back. Even though he is pretty much the second choice keeper at United, the 6 feet tall keeper has done a great job to lead his side in many cup competitions. He was also guarding the stick in the 2017 Europa league final which United won in fine fashion against Ajax. Dean Smith will be hoping to get him on the books but it will only come up with a cost.
Air clear on Grealish?
It seems like Aston Villa will be forced to sell Grealish at last. Manchester United is struggling with squad depth at the moment and over reliance on Rashford, Martial and Greenwood can cost them big time. As a result, the Red Devils tried to add Jadon Sancho to their squad. But with Dortmund paying no heed to United’s proceeding, Grealish is the only player left to suit their playing style.
His ability to circle around the penalty box, simultaneously creating chances from the left. Grealish also has a deadly right foot. Ole is happy to get a player like him and will do everything to ensure his squad gets enough quality to compete in the Champions league. United also are in place to sell Jesse Lingard and Andreas Perreira to ensure more game time from him. The atmosphere on him should clear if Villa accepts the bid with United getting a decent playmaker on a cheap price.
