The storyline involving Chad Gable and The Alpha Academy is one of the best things happening in WWE. Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa‘s patience in enduring the insults from their cruel leader has forced fans to pick a side. Not only were fans impressed, but former WWE star turned OnlyFans model, Mandy Rose was also enthusiastic about the storyline.
While speaking on her Power Alphas podcast, Mandy Rose shed some light on the comparisons between her storyline and Otis and Maxxine Dupri‘s involvement. She talked about how the heavyweight picked up his fellow Alpha Academy member at Clash at the Castle, just as he picked her up during their storyline. The former NXT Women’s Champion regrets that there was no audience to witness the big moments between them, like their on-screen kiss at WrestleMania 36.
Continuing on the storyline, Rose didn’t forget to praise Gable and commented on how much he had evolved in his heel character. On the latest episode of Raw, after his students abandoned him, he was brutally attacked by Wyatt Sicks. Initially, Ilja Dragunov was set to replace him in the MITB qualifying match, but according to the latest announcement by Raw GM Adam Pearce, Gable was cleared to wrestle.
At Clash at the Castle, Otis picked up Maxxine just like he picked me up. It’s drawing a lot of comparisons. That big kiss in the Performance Center, we wished that was in front of thousands of people because that crowd would have erupted.Mandy Rose via The Power Alphas podcast
Meanwhile, the 33-year-old star was released from WWE because of her choice to start an OnlyFans account. Although she revealed how satisfied she was with her decision, Rose certainly kept the door open for wrestling. The former NXT Women’s Champion expressed her desire to rejoin the Stamford-based company once again if the phone call arrives.
Mandy Rose opened up about her favorite WWE opponent
During her WWE tenure, Mandy Rose faced some of the biggest names the company had to offer. One of them is Asuka, who has been part of many iconic matches. Rose explained this in more detail on her podcast.
On the same podcast, she talked about how the Japanese veteran always brought the best out of her during their rivalry. Rose revealed that, despite the language barrier, she had some of the best matches of her career with Asuka. The 33-year-old star concluded her statement by saying that Asuka was one of her favorite opponents.
I feel like she always kind of brought the best out of me, someone who didn't have as much experience out there. As much as there was a little bit of a language barrier at times, sometimes I had like my greatest matches with her 'cause I just felt like she brought that energy and she just brought that feeling out there. So ya I would definitely say Asuka was one of my faves.Mandy Rose on Asuka via The Power Alphas podcast
Both stars wrestled for the SmackDown Women’s Title several times at house shows in 2019. Rose had one of the best title reigns as the NXT Women’s Champion, holding it for 413 days before getting released. Meanwhile, Asuka is currently out of action due to a knee injury, with no confirmed return date.
