Losing their job is a tough time for everyone, and it is often accompanied by friends and family reaching out to show their support. However, something completely out of the blue happened with Mandy Rose, who was reached out to by basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal shortly after losing her job at WWE.

Speaking on the I-95 Morning Show, Rose recalled getting fired from WWE and how there were headlines everywhere about her release. During this time, Shaq texted her and assured her of her great future. The former Absolution member had only met him once prior to this interaction, and she was grateful for his support.

After holding the NXT Women’s Championship for over a year, Rose was dethroned by Roxanne Perez on the December 13th, 2022 episode of NXT. The very next day, WWE announced that they had released the 34-year-old. The company took this decision shortly after finding out about her NSFW content on FanTime, which went against WWE’s employee policies.

Shaquille O’Neal has made several appearances in WWE, even stepping inside the squared circle. He has been the special guest host of Raw and even served as a ring enforcer. Furthermore, the 52-year-old even entered the third annual Andre the Giant Memorial battle royal at WrestleMania 32. During the match, he had an intense staredown with the only man who could match his size, The Big Show.

Will Mandy Rose debut in AEW?

With the sudden firing of Rose from WWE and things said over the past two years, the former NXT Women’s Champion may never return to the company. She has shown no interest in wanting to return to the Stamford-based promotion. Furthermore, the company may not want her back either due to her controversial content on the internet.

Mandy Rose has stated in the past that there is no particular reason for her not being in AEW. She is still on the verge of deciding whether she wants to return to professional wrestling or not. However, she hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility, as there is one factor motivating her to join the Jacksonville-based promotion.

The OnlyFans model has stated that she would like to work with Saraya once again. Rose, Sonya Deville, and the formerly-known Paige were once part of a faction called Absolution. However, this group was disbanded after the former AEW Women’s Champion had to retire prematurely in 2017.
