The wrestling world has frequently seen its superstars be inspired by others in the industry and borrow their moves, gimmicks, or nicknames. A similar type of drama is currently going on between Tiffany Stratton and Mandy Rose, with the latter claiming that the young superstar stole her catchphrase.

During a recent appearance on Ring The Belle, Stratton said that this entire situation was a little sad. Regardless, she wished Rose well in her life and career. Shortly after, the former NXT Women’s Champion seemingly took a dig at the Buff Barbie, although she did not tag or mention any post directly.

This whole fiasco started during an episode of SmackDown on January 10th. This was just a week after Stratton had cashed in to become WWE Women’s Champion. During a promo, the 25-year-old asked the WWE Universe to put some respect on her name. This same phrase was used by Mandy Rose during her time in NXT.

Rose said that she wasn’t even watching the show. However, she got a lot of messages saying that a newly crowned champion was stealing her phrase. She then watched the promo and called Stratton a b*tch. Rose claimed that the WWE Women’s Champion not only stole her catchphrase but even said it in the same tone. The OnlyFans model said that while they can respect and admire each other, stealing words from each other was a big no-no.

Tiffany Stratton will defend the WWE Women’s Championship against Nia Jax on SmackDown

The latest episode of SmackDown featured Charlotte Flair visiting SmackDown to help her decide who she should face at WrestleMania. The Queen had an intense promo with Tiffany Stratton, which was eventually interrupted by Nia Jax and Candice LeRae. The Irresistible Force said that she had talked to Nick Aldis and was going to get a rematch for her title during next week’s episode.

Stratton had aligned herself with Nia Jax for several months while she held onto the Money in the Bank briefcase. However, this wasn’t a very healthy mentor-mentee relationship. The Queen of the Ring was often abusive to her protege.

Thus, Stratton decided to take advantage when she found Jax exhausted shortly after a title defense against Naomi on the first SmackDown of 2025. Thus, she capitalized on the opportunity and cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase. She hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever and picked up a pinfall victory to become the WWE Women’s Champion.
