Manchester United are on the verge of completing another summer transfer, after recent reports indicate that the club may have agreed on personal terms with PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte. Meanwhile, Casemiro might be sold to make room for the Uruguayan player.
The Red Devils are expected to have a busy summer transfer window, hoping to make some major squad changes after a dismal 2023-24 season. The club initially acquired Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for £35.7 million. Subsequently, they secured the signing of highly-regarded Lille center-back Leny Yoro and are now targeting Manuel Ugarte. However, the deal is not yet finalized, as PSG has set a £59 million asking price for the midfielder.
Ugarte’s arrival could however, lead to United offloading a number of midfielders to make sufficient room and reduce the club’s financial burden. Veteran Brazilian midfielder Casemiro might depart following a challenging second season at Old Trafford. He is being targeted by a number of Saudi PL sides, including Al-Nassr. Additionally, Scott McTominay, who scored 10 goals last season, might also be on his way out, with Fulham showing interest.

Man United hopes the 23-year-old will team up with Kobbie Mainoo next season, though they face tough competition in his pursuit. If they are unable to secure a permanent deal, a loan move is also being considered, with the player also expressing interest.
Manchester United clarify transfer stance on defenders Jarrad Branthwaite and Matthijs de Ligt
Manchester United have refused to rule out a move for their primary summer transfer targets Jarrad Branthwaite and Matthijs de Ligt, despite signing Leny Yoro. Despite missing out on Champions League football next season, Old Trafford remains a lucrative and attractive destination for young talent.
United initially offered £35 million for the young Englishman, later increasing it to £50 million. However, both offers were reportedly rejected by Everton, who are demanding more for their prized center-back.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils may have reached an agreement on personal terms with the De Ligt, but they are yet to submit an offer. They could replace the outgoing Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.
