Just days after playing his final game for long-term club Borussia Dortmund, former club captain and legend Marco Reus is in search of a new club. The 35-year-old had announced his decision to part ways BVB at the end of the season in early May, prior to Dortmund booking their spot in the final. While many expected and hoped that the No.11 would leave the club as a UCL champion, destiny had other plans.

A 2-0 loss in the final to Real Madrid and a rather underwhelming performance from the forward in the final meant that Reus did not get the dream farewell many wished for. However, as one chapter ends, another begins. As per several reports, clubs from all over the world have come rushing for the player’s signature.

As per reports, Reus has opted to negotiate with MLS clubs despite the player also receiving offers from the SPL. A fan commented that a legend like Reus will fight right in with the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez already playing in the League. Another added that Europe will surely miss the legend.

Several fans wanted the player to join Inter Miami as they imagined the possibility of him playing with Messi himself. Others understood that Reus deserves to have his ‘time off’ and play football in ‘easy’ mode after years of playing with BVB in Germany. Many wished him the best as ‘the one that stayed’ finally felt that it was the right time to go.
