Conor Coady and Marcus Rashford will be missing for England for the remaining matches of the international break

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford and Wolves defender Conor Coady will be absent from the rest of England’s games during the international break. The former picked up an injury while with Manchester United and the latter has to follow Covid-19 regulations.

Covid-19 at the thick of things

Wolves defender Conor Coady tested negative twice for Covid-19 in the tests taken. Nevertheless he had come into contact with someone who had the virus. Therefore according to the government’s safety rules and regulations, Conor has to self-isolate in order to not affect any other players in the training camp.

Both of them had to miss out on England’s 3-0 win over Ireland. Marcus Rashford is confirmed to not return to the squad as he had picked up an injury while on club duty. Manchester United will surely miss the services of the young forward who has become famous on social media because of his philanthropic activities.

England will next play against Belgium in Leuwens and Iceland in Wembley. This is part of their Nations League fixtures. There have been cries that games like these have to be dropped in order to give players rest as they weren’t robots.
