Andy Murray was nervous while playing at Pro-Am Championship
The man with three Grand Slams and two Olympic gold medals, Andy Murray, was nervous while playing golf at the Pro-Am Championship. He admitted to feeling “useless” as he wanted to keep playing without messing up too much.
I couldn't really feel my arms and legs. I didn't really hit any balls on the range beforehand. I was feeling it but it got better. It got better as the round went on. It's a different sort of nervous because you are comfortable in the tennis environment. I'm not thinking I'm going to walk out on the tennis court and forget how to hit the ball.Andy Murray told the reporters
The event also featured recent cricket retiree James Anderson, Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke, and golf professional Robert MacIntyre. Murray, who was just not ready to give up tennis, and had opened up about how not playing tennis would be hard for him, is not missing the game much, as he revealed in an interview that golf helped him forget about retirement.
The former World No.1 retired after reaching the quarterfinals at the Paris Olympics where he played by teaming up with Dan Evans and the British pair lost to America’s Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz. Murray’s last match on the ATP Tour was at Wimbledon, where he played doubles with brother Jamie Murray.
