Minority Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban congratulates Donald Trump after major lead in US Presidential Elections

The US Presidential election is done and dusted, with Donald Trump in a commanding lead over Kamala Harris. Even before that deficit started to grow and became evident that the former President would return to the Oval Office, entrepreneur Mark Cuban already saw the signs.

The 66-year-old, like every other American, was glued to his television set watching updates from various news sources. As time passed, Donald Trump took the lead. However, many of Kamala Harris‘ supporters were still hopeful that she would overcome the deficit once counting was over.

Mark Cuban, though, was not one of them. When Trump crossed the 210 mark of electoral votes won, Harris was struggling to get past 190. Around that time, the Dallas Mavericks minority owner congratulated Trump on his victory.

Many would think it was premature of the billionaire to congratulate the candidate he took shots at throughout the campaign. However, he probably saw the writing on the wall when important swing states gave Donald Trump the edge.

Many states where Kamala Harris was expected to at least contest closely swung in the favor of the Republican nominee. Cuban has thus graciously accepted that the candidate he lobbied against is about to win.

For fans watching this situation unveil, it came as a comical twist for them. Throughout the campaign, Mark Cuban was at the epicenter of several waves of attacks on Donald Trump. Fans found it weird as Cuban was once a close adversary of the soon-to-be President.

Losing to Trump and his business partner meant fans took shots at Cuban on social media. Check out some of them below:

More than eight million people have viewed the tech entrepreneur’s post at the time of writing this article. With over 23,000 replies to that message, Cuban has gone viral despite not always playing an active part in politics.
