Despite his menacing look and intimidating physique, Mark Henry is considered one of the kindest wrestlers by fans and superstars alike. The 53-year-old recently met some of the talent backstage at the latest episode of Raw, including his former rival, CM Punk.
CM Punk recently uploaded an Instagram story of a photo alongside Mark Henry and his son, Jacob. The Best in the World called them both family in the story. The World’s Strongest Man re-posted a photo of the story. Further, he captioned it, saying that it was very cool to see his ‘homie.’
Henry and Punk have had a long history in the ring together, which dates back to WWE’s version of the ECW brand. They re-ignited their feud in the early 2010s, often competing over the WWE Championship during the Voice of the Voiceless’ 434-day reign.
Henry and his son attended the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw. They were present in the crowd in the front seat to cheer on the performing superstars. He even received a huge pop from the crowd. The Hall of Famer’s son, Jacob Henry, recently signed a contract with WWE and will be a full-time professional wrestler for the promotion alongside Punk.
Bully Ray and Nic Nemeth discuss the possibility of a strap match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre
The rivalry between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk is undoubtedly the most heated feud in WWE at the moment. Many fans predict that their future matches are bound to have some intense stipulations attached to them. A Hell in a Cell match is considered most likely by the fans. This is owing to the upcoming Bad Blood PLE and the company’s plans to host such matches at the show. However, Bully Ray believes that the feud is headed in a different direction.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Ray reacted to their segment on the latest episode of Raw, which featured Punk brutally attacking Drew McIntyre with a belt. The Hall of Famer believed that this segment was a foreshadowing of an upcoming strap match between the two.
I'm a big believer in, 'If you're gonna do it, you gotta do it. There's no going half-assed on this, and Punk did not.Bully Ray on Busted Open Radio
Nic Nemeth, also present on the podcast, did not seem on board with the sentiment. He refused to believe that the assault was a subtle hint towards the stipulation. However, he could see such a match happening in the future. WWE has recently become more brutal and non-PG with its content, and it will likely be unafraid to host the stipulation.
