Mark Henry reacts to Zelina Vega’s release from WWE

WWE recently released Zelina Vega. The suddenness of the move completely shook the wrestling world. Former WWE wrestler, Mark Henry’s reaction was not as surprised as the fans of pro-wrestling. The WWE Hall of Famer recently appeared on the Busted Open Radio. There he discussed Vega’s release in detail.

Henry reasoned that Vega was quite active on her Twitch account. She used to do a lot of cosplays. But WWE asked for control over these accounts. The World’s strongest Man knew that it will be difficult for Zega to give up all of this.

“I was a little shocked but I wasn’t completely surprised. Because I know how much of a Twitch and social media maven that she [Zelina Vega] is. And it was gonna be hard to get her not to do Cameos, it would be hard to get her not to do Twitch, and so on, and so on.”

Reason for Vega’s release

During the start of October, WWE issued a notice to all their wrestlers regarding their third party deals. The statement asked all of their Twitch accounts to be deactivated in a span of 30 days. Vega wasn’t ready to give up on her Twitch account. WWE deemed this to be a breach of contract, and hence she was released.

Vega last appeared for WWE on Smackdown in a Triple-threat match. Since then she has been released. But she has promised her fans that she won’t be giving up on her pro-wrestling career. Vega is currently serving a 90-day no compete contract with WWE.
