Markelle Fultz lives upto his $50 Million extension handing Orlando Magic 3 in 3 against Washington Wizards

Orlando Magic is on a superb run as they win their 3rd game on the trot. This time, against Washington Wizards by a 7-point margin having led by Markelle Fultz. The player scored 26 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds against Russell Westbrook less Wizards. The key for Magic has been the consistency showed by their starters. Even in this game it wasn’t only Fultz, but Evan Fournier and Nikola Vucevic scoring 19 and 15 points respectively. 

Even Terrence Ross continued his sparkling form scoring 26 coming off the bench. However, Aaron Gordon seemed to have struggled on the offensive end of the court as he scored only 4 points, playing 20 minutes. 

Markelle Fultz scores 26 in win over Washington Wizards 

One has to feel for Bradley Beal who has given his all in these 3 games that the Washington Wizards have lost. Even in this game Beal scored 29 points. Having missed all his 7 attempts from behind the arc. Thomas Bryant was once again handful as he scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Westbrook could have made the difference, if he was playing. But 28-year-old Raul Neto played a good supporting role to Beal, scoring 22 points.

This loss has to be taken very seriously by the Wizards. With Beal in such red-hot form, they would want to make the most of it. Orlando Magic clearly won the match in the last quarter where they outscored the Wizards 43-19. The Wizards have been giving away the games quite evidently in the latter stages. Let’s see whether or not Washington Wizards are able to improve on this as they face Chicago Bulls in consecutive matches next.
