Baltimore Ravens’ star Marlon Humphrey wishes it was a dream, but he had to accept the reality that his team is officially out of the Super Bowl contention. But more than that, he came to the hard realization that the current Baltimore team is done!
Despite the best efforts to have a comeback late in the game, the Ravens fell short against the Buffalo Bills by two points, enduring a playoff elimination. Following the game, cornerback Humphrey decided to address the media rather unfiltered, when asked about the team.

The All-Pro cornerback spoke in reference to the several players whose contract is set to expire this year around March. Whereas some players might become free agents to adjust the salary cap for next season. Though he did not say that the Ravens are forever ‘done’ with their attempts to reach the Super Bowl and secure the Vince Lombardi Trophy, he highlighted the reality that the current roster would never be able to make that dream come true.
After waking up this morning after enduring the heartbreaking loss, all he could wish for was that it had all been a dream and the Ravens hadn’t lost. However, he ultimately had to accept that the “season is over,” sharing his thoughts on X.
Was hoping when I woke up it was just a dream. But nah season is over 💔

Marlon Humphrey’s future in Baltimore in question as he acknowledges contract limitations
While talking about the contracts and the uncertainty of the key players’ future with the Ravens, the four-time Pro Bowler also addressed his situation. Given that the tenure for the guaranteed money under this contract ends this season, even though he remains under contract with the franchise through the 2026 season.
Though Humphrey will not enter the free agency in 2025, there remains a possibility that Baltimore may decide to move on from him. Perhaps, an attempt at the transformation of the roster could benefit the team in their pursuit of success but whether the star cornerback will be around to witness it remains to be seen.
