Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk stunned tennis fans by going topless in a photo shoot with Vogue Ukraine after the magazine invited all athletes who are part of Ukraine’s contingent to the 2024 Paris Olympics to strike a pose for the camera.

However, rather than conventional poses, Kostyuk and others posed semi-naked. The 21-year-old had an intense look while wearing only a white skirt.

Marta Kostyuk, ranked 18th in the world by the Women’s Tennis Association, has had a strong season so far. She reached the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, the semifinals in Indian Wells, and the finals in both San Diego and Stuttgart. Later this year, the 21-year-old is set to make her debut at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Kostyuk is also the highest-ranked women’s tennis player from her country currently, ahead of Elina Svitolina (21), Dayana Yastremska (27), and Anhelina Kalinina (47). The 21-year-old will be leading her country in the Games. While Kostyuk will fight for the gold medal in the singles event in Paris, she is also set to pair up with Yastremska in the doubles category.

Vogue Ukraine shared a few pictures from the photoshoot on social media, with Marta Kostyuk as the feature image.

In their caption, they stated that athletes were invited to take part in the shoot ahead of the Summer Games.

Members of the national Olympic and Paralympic teams of Ukraine are preparing for the XXXIII Summer Games in Paris, which will begin in July. For some it is the first Olympic competition in their life, for sports stars it is an attempt to add a cherished medal to the trophy basket. Or a few. On the occasion of the big start, the editorial office invited domestic athletes to the classic Vogue shooting.

These unconventional poses by the Ukrainian Olympic and Paralympic athletes attracted some reactions from the fans. While Tennis fans took a dig at Kostyuk, others stated that it was an unnecessary move.

Kostyuk is currently in the midst of her grass swing as she hopes to perform well at the Wimbledon Championships and carry the momentum into the Paris Olympics.
