Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, who was injured for two months, is all set to get back to the yard as the Gunners prepare for an important challenge against Internazionale. Odegaard’s injury compelled him to miss key games which included the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

It goes without saying that it will all depend on Mikel Arteta about whether Martin Odegaard will get some playing minutes or not. However, as reported by the Standard, Odegaard has now returned full time to training and is ‘itching’ to make his long-awaited comeback against Inter on Wednesday night.

Odegaard was injured on August 31, while he was playing for Norway, as he damaged his ankle ligaments. Despite the Norwegian attacker raring to roll, Arteta will possibly be looking forward to introducing him in a lot more subtle fashion instead of just forcing him on from the very start, risking another injury.

Former Arsenal sporting director steps down after five brilliant years at North London

In another surprising development, Arsenal’s ex-sporting director, Edu has decided to call it a day at Arsenal. After a successful five-year spell, the Brazilian turned down an incredulous offer to almost treble his wages at the club. He had joined the North London outfit in 2019 as the club’s first-ever technical director. Since his arrival, he has played a pivotal role in crucial signings for the club.

His latest assignment will see him sign an indenture with Evangelos Marinakis’ multi-club ownership and will be taking over the reins of Nottingham Forest, Olympiacos and Rio Ave. Ever since the news came to light, the Mirror reported that the new deal will be tripling the wages that Edu earned at Arsenal.

Hearing this, the Gunners also attempted to match the wages. However, it seems that the Brazilian had already made up his mind by then.
