Football is back, and so are the training camp fights. Steelers camp at St. Vincent College witnessed one involving Justin Fields.
Steelers fan Anthony shared a clip on social media that showed players engaged in pinning each other near the sidelines on Wednesday. It was mayhem as both offensive and defensive players joined in.
Everything started after Fields rushed with the ball to gain some ground. When he came to a halt, veteran linebacker Elandon Roberts ran into him, but the quarterback didn’t seem to mind the nudge too much.
However, rookie offensive lineman Troy Fautanu thought Roberts intentionally pushed Fields. In a matter of seconds, other players jumped in, which started a brawl.
The irony of the fight was Justin Fields’ reaction. As the brawl raged on, the 25-year-old stared in confusion with the ball in hand and walked away from the scene.

Later, head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the situation to the media.
There’s a lot of lessons to be learned. Some formal, some informal. We got a little bit less than professional & chippy; an opportunity to teach & learn. As much as we hate it, we'll learn and grow from that.Mike Tomlin said per Yahoo Sports Jori Epstein

Will Justin Fields be the starter for the Steelers?
Following an underwhelming stint with the Chicago Bears where Fields only won 10 from 38, he moved to Pittsburgh for a fresh start. The Steelers also signed veteran Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson, who fell out of favor in Denver.

Coach Tomlin and offensive coordinator Arthur Smith have spent many hours discussing who between the two quarterbacks will lead the team when the 2024 season starts. Wilson currently holds the edge because of his experience, but the final say rests with Tomlin and Smith.
Fields went to work immediately, aiming to prove himself to the coaches. Several reports suggested that they see an exciting talent in the former first-round pick.
Justin [Fields] is unique in the sense of when he breaks, it's like a track meet. You would have to do some things differently with Justin in terms of how you keep the pocket condensed, how you keep all that stuff in there.Steelers defensive coordinator Teryl Austin told Yahoo Sports
The Steelers will test out both Wilson and Fields during the preseason and determine their starter. In their first game, they will face the Houston Texans on August 9.
