Jade Cargill was mysteriously attacked on SmackDown in November, leading to her absence from WWE programming. Following the incident, it was announced that she had sustained internal injuries, preventing her from competing. However, recent reports suggest that The Storm could be gearing up for a return, with a potential comeback at the Royal Rumble.
According to PWInsider, Jade Cargill was recently seen training at the WWE Performance Center. This marked her first in-ring activity since suffering her injury last year. Reports indicate that The Storm could be preparing for a return at the Royal Rumble PLE. She might even confront her best friends, Bianca Belair and Naomi, during the event that could be a game-changing move.
The former AEW star recently dropped a cryptic message aimed at Belair and Naomi during last week’s SmackDown. It appears that she has a suspicion about who could be her attacker. Speculation has been rife that The Glow could be behind the attack, especially after the former TNA star replaced Cargill as the Women’s Tag Team Champion. These rumors gained even more traction following that development.

If Cargill makes her return at the Royal Rumble, it would mark her second electrifying appearance on the show. Speculation suggests that WWE could set up a highly anticipated match between Cargill and Belair at WrestleMania 41. With such rumors swirling around the former AEW superstar, her return is poised to be a pivotal moment on the road to WrestleMania.
Former WWE commentator Jonathan Coachman claimed Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair do not get along backstage
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair have been together in WWE for almost a year. As a tag team, they have captured the Women’s Tag Team Championships multiple times in 2024. Apparently, they share a good bond on screen that is cherished by the WWE Universe. However, former WWE commentator Jonathan Coachman claimed they don’t get along backstage.
Speaking on his Coach & Bro Show on Backstage Pass, Coachman claimed that he has heard Cargill and Belair are at loggerheads behind the scenes. He added that despite their similarities, The EST is more successful than The Storm, alluding to it as one of the reasons for them to not get along. The former WWE commentator also added that he feels such an angle could be the foundation for their potential match.
Belair and Cargill are often seen enjoying their time backstage together, having toured WWE events alongside their friend Naomi. Fans should, therefore, take Coachman’s words with a grain of salt. However, if WWE chooses to go this route, it could be the perfect angle to kick off their WrestleMania feud.
