WWE has been rapidly preparing for the upcoming months, where they are set to undergo massive changes. Amid this preparation, they have even brewed a blockbuster plan for former Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. Amid the latter’s 300-plus-day hiatus, this report serves as an update for her possible return.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE is planning to have Flair in a top title match at WrestleMania. The report elucidated that, at the moment, there are no concrete plans on who her opponent is going to be. However, it is seemingly confirmed that The Queen is going to enjoy the biggest spotlight possible at the extravaganza in Las Vegas.
Flair has been out of action due to a torn ACL she sustained in December last year. Ever since then, she has been regularly updating her fans about her recovery by posting workout pictures on social media. There were a few reports that predicted that the second-generation wrestler might make her return to WWE by November this year.
Furthermore, with WWE already structuring her path for WrestleMania, it is likely she might be back by the Royal Rumble. There are a few notable names the 14-time Women’s Champion might face at the Show of Shows in Las Vegas. Most notably, the rising star Tiffany Stratton, who is seemingly the top contender to face the 38-year-old at WrestleMania 41.
Charlotte Flair thought her life was over after suffering torn ACL
Charlotte Flair has been the mainstay of the WWE women’s division for years now. She has main evented WrestleMania and has captured several women’s titles. However, The Queen recently revealed she felt like her life was over when she suffered a torn ACL in December.
Speaking on the Forever Young Podcast, Flair stated that it was heartbreaking for her to see herself being knocked down yet again. She thought someone was going to step up in her absence and fill her shoes in the next few months. However, deep down she had an idea that this comeback was going to be legendary, averred The Queen.
Flair added that her husband Andrade was also en route to join WWE at that time. Therefore, the 38-year-old wanted to be on the scene for his return. Nonetheless, as of now she looks forward to her comeback fondly and cannot wait to be back in the ring sooner than later.
