On Monday, the PGA TOUR 2K franchise announced the cover athletes for the next installment. Along with golf great Tiger Woods, Max Homa and Matt Fitzpatrick have been named as the cover stars for the PGA TOUR 2K25 video game. Fitzpatrick would later share a 14-word message regarding this.

While Woods has been named as the cover on the Legend Edition, Fitzpatrick and Homa take center stage on the deluxe and standard edition of the game. This will mark the first time that the Englishmen is on the cover of the game.

Previously, Fitzpatrick had revealed that he would always pick Woods while playing the previous games during his childhood. He also admitted feeling special for being included in the PGA TOUR 2K23 game.

Now the former U.S. Open champion finds himself as the cover star of the game. Taking to X, he would thank the developers for selecting him while resharing the post from the franchise’s official account.

The 30-year-old golfer has been successful on both the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. With 9 wins on the European Tour, Matt Fitzpatrick has managed to claim two wins on the PGA Tour with one of them being the 2022 U.S. Open. Apart from that, he has won the RBC Heritage in 2023.

When will PGA TOUR 2K25 released?

The announcement on Monday regarding the cover athletes of the new PGA TOUR 2K25 left the fans on social media excited. Fans were pleased to see Tiger Woods, Max Homa, and Matt Fitzpatrick grace the cover for the next edition. The big question now is – when is the game going to be released?

As of now, a release date for the game has not been announced yet. The previous edition, PGA TOUR 2K23 was released in October 2022. It has been more than two years since that game was released.

According to the developers, more information regarding the game will be revealed on Tuesday. It is likely that the release date of the game could be revealed during this.

This game will be the third edition which will be released under the name of PGA TOUR 2K after PGA TOUR 2K21 (released in 2022) and PGA TOUR 2K23. Previously, popular game company Electronic Arts (EA) used to release golf video games. Woods served as the main cover star of the series branded as “Tiger Woods PGA Tour” from 1999 to 2013.
