“Bill wasn’t happy about it,” Controversial ex-WWE star claims Goldberg flexed his bank account after calling him out for being disrespectful 

Former WWE star Matt Riddle is known for his laid-back persona and straightforward attitude. He has made multiple enemies simply by speaking negatively about them. One of his most famous feuds, which caught significant attention from wrestling fans, was with Bill Goldberg. The WCW legend and Riddle never liked each other, and at one point, the former even blocked the latter on social media.

While speaking with the WrestleBinge podcast, Matt Riddle discussed his meeting with Bill Goldberg at SummerSlam 2019. He stated that the WCW legend was unhappy about the comment he made about him. The Original Bro has openly said that Goldberg was not a safe wrestler to work with due to numerous botches in several matches.

One of the most infamous matches to remember is his match against The Undertaker at WWE SuperShowDown in 2019. In the Hall of Famer’s words, the match felt like a huge mess, especially after Goldberg got concussed early on. Not only that, he attempted a Jackhammer, during which The Deadman literally landed on his head.

Bill wasn’t happy about it. Then we ran into each other again where we had a longer talk and he basically said I was very disrespectful by saying what I said, and I go, ‘I don’t think I was.’ Then he goes, ‘How do you figure?’ I go, ‘Because I wasn’t lying.’ He goes, ‘Well, my bank account’s huge.’ I go, ‘I bet it is.'

The Original Bro further noted that the WCW legend mentioned he had a bigger bank account than Riddle. Although they never liked each other, it seems the relationship between them is improving. Goldberg once said that while he might not like Riddle as a person, he acknowledged and respected his hard work. Meanwhile, Riddle stated that he understood why the legend didn’t like him personally.

Matt Riddle was released from WWE in September of last year, but before his departure, he shared some golden moments with Randy Orton. RKBro held the Raw Tag Team Championships twice during their time together. Now, The Original Bro has discussed whether there might be a chance for a reunion.

While speaking on the same podcast, the 38-year-old star opened up about returning to WWE. He expressed his desire to reunite with The Legend Killer one more time. Riddle also praised his nutritionist for doing an excellent job of getting him back on track after a horrific back injury.

After they lost their tag team titles to The Usos, Orton was injured during the beatdown from The Bloodline. Riddle performed as a singles star for a while but didn’t receive the same reactions from fans as he once did. One of the main reasons Riddle felt he connected well with fans was that he was entertaining and could still defeat his opponents.
