Matthew Ebden had the perfect reaction to the 2024 Paris Olympics draw. The Australian had received one of the toughest draws in Paris this year.

To start with, Ebden did not even make it to the main draw of the Games initially. He was named as an alternate, which is a player who replaces someone in the main draw if they withdraw from the tournament.

Ebden made it to the main draw as a last-minute replacement for Rinky Hijikata. He is set to face Novak Djokovic in the first round. If he manages to beat the Serbian, he could face another giant, Rafael Nadal, in the second round.

Rundown of the 2024 Paris Olympics draw

The official draw for the 2024 Paris Olympics was a treat to the fans. With Jannik Sinner out of the mix, Novak Djokovic will lead the first half of the draw and Carlos Alcaraz in the second half.

The first half of the draw is where all the attention would be, with Djokovic and Rafael Nadal possibly meeting in the second round. It will be the most-awaited match in this tournament if they both make it past the first round.

In the other half, Alcaraz has a very tough draw. He might either take on Tallon Griiekspoor or Cameron Norrie in the second round. If he passes that test, the likes of Thiago Seyboth Wild or Alejandro Tabilo further down the order.
