Kelly Stafford found herself on the wrong side of the field with the fans of pop star Taylor Swift. On a recent iteration of her podcast The Morning After, she revealed that she was “tired” of the continued coverage the star received with her clips eclipsing the air-time that some players receive.

Kelly Stafford’s statements resulted in a barrage of criticism from Taylor Swift’s dedicated fanbase, who called the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford as one who is envious of the coverage that the pop star receives. However, to clarify that the meaning of her words was grossly misinterpreted, Kelly Stafford had some concrete proof to show that she is a huge fan of Swift.

Despite her criticism of Taylor Swift, the wife of Matthew Stafford has shown signs in the past that she is a die-hard Swiftie. She had the Rams quarterback and four of their daughters dressed up in Swift’s Eras Tour costumes.

The backlash that stemmed earlier resulted from comments that were taken out of context, as per her. She meant that in the NFL, football players deserve the most coverage and her sentiment is right. Kelly did not blame Taylor Swift for this, as she understands that there is nothing she can do about it.
