Maurizio Sarri insists Ronaldo to be rested against Roma

Juventus Manager Maurizio Sarri has indicated that Ronaldo might be rested for their final game AS Roma. Juventus have already secured their Serie-A title last week. Juve are now a week away from their second leg Champions’ League fixture. The Bianconeri’s meet Lyon with a 1-0 deficit against them .

Ronaldo has not missed any game since Football resumption after the Covid-Break. The Portuguese has been in fine form scoring 31 league goal this season. Although the League’s top scorer award will go to Lazio’s Immobile because as he has scored 35 league goals this season. Aaron Ramsey might feature in today’s game against Roma but Dybala will be rested because of a thigh injury.

In an interview Sarri said,  “We’ll assess [who will play] today and tomorrow morning, depending on who needs to rest and who is fit to play. Between tomorrow and next Friday there will be a big difference in terms of mentality. We’ll need to be good at recovering all energies possible. Tomorrow, which ever player is fit will play and we’ll try to make it a day of celebration. I can see two light-hearted teams tomorrow evening, with clear heads: a beautiful game can come out of it.”

“Let’s see how Cristiano feels for tomorrow, he’s one of the players that played the most in the entire season. With regards to Aaron Ramsey, he might be back with the team today and there are good possibilities that he plays in the Champions League. Dybala is with the medical staff and everything is proceeding well. But I don’t know when he’ll be back with the group,” added Maurizio Sarri.

Juveuntus has been re-instated as Domestic Champions by beating Inter Milan and Atalanta in their path to glory. They’re looking to make it a perfect 10. “We’re proud of ourselves, to win nine titles in a row is incredible, and we’re already thinking about a 10th. First though we need to turn our attention to the Champions League,” also commented Sarri.
