The former UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway opened this year’s UFC event with a spectacular victory against Calvin Kattar. In this fight, Holloway broke the record for the highest significant strikes in a fight.

Now the Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski is booked to face Brian Ortega at UFC 260’s co-main event and Holloway is keeping a close eye on it. Dana White already made it clear that after that extraordinary performance against Kattar, Holloway deserves a title shot.

This makes the possibilities very high, that the winner of Volkanovski vs Ortega will face Holloway in their next title defense. But the pride of Hawaii, Holloway doesn’t intend to stay a 145’er for the rest of his career.

Holloway is only 29 years old this time and he already established himself as one of the best Featherweight. But in the latest interview with Ariel Helwani, Holloway stated that he can finish his career at Lightweight or even Welterweight.

‘Blessed’ says, “When we took that Dustin fight, it was like on a two months’ notice, a little bit under two months, We did that fight and then two months later, I was fighting back at ’45.”

“The intriguing question to everybody is, ‘When is Max gonna commit to ’55 fully and not do this jump around stuff?’ Let everybody wonder, right? We’ll see what happens.”

Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway

Holloway made his Lightweight debut against Dustin Poirier and ‘Blessed’ is already making plans to compete in third weight class before he finally hangs his gloves. Holloway added, “I think I end my career at ’55 and fully commit at ’55, or maybe even I’ll fully commit at ’70,”

“Who knows? We’ll see what happens. It’s just commitment. My coaches, they want commitment. I want commitment, the UFC wants commitment. We’ll see what happens.”

So how do you see ‘Blessed Express’ making the move to the Lightweight division or Welterweight division?
