The blessed Max Holloway is all set to make his Octagon return against the featherweight contender Calvin Kattar. This fight has been officially booked for 16th January as the main event for UFC Fight Night Holloway vs Kattar.

Holloway is ranked number 1 in the Featherweight ranking and Kattar is ranked 6th in the Featherweight rankings. ‘Blessed Express’ last fought Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 251 co-main event in which the UFC Featherweight champion Volkanovski won the fight with a controversial decision at the end of the fight.

Most of the UFC pundits scored this fight as a win for Holloway but the judges think differently. Calvin Kattar is on a two-fight win streak. His latest win came against Jeremy Stephens at UFC 249 by TKO in the second round. These recent wins gave him the opportunity to face the number one contender Holloway in his next fight.

Brain Ortega is right now in a position to challenge Alexander Volkanovski for the title next. Ortega showed an exceptional performance in the fight against ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung. This put him in the position to enter the title fight.

The winner between Holloway and Kattar will also look forward to facing any of these guys. ‘Blessed Express’ will look to hold the Featherweight title in his hand which he couldn’t do after coming so close to it.

Kattar will be looking to challenge Ortega after a win over Holloway so that he clears the way towards the championship fight and with a win over The Number 1 ranked fighter in the Featherweight division Kattar will look forward to making a statement in the division.
