On Tuesday, the sport of golf marked a new era. The TGL marked the first time where professional golfers competed indoors in the form of simulation golf. The idea of simulation golf is something many fans are not too fascinated about. Six-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa himself thought that the TGL would be a bit boring.
Homa is one of the 24 PGA Tour players who will participate in the inaugural season of the TGL. He is part of Tiger Woods‘ Jupiter Links GC. Despite this, the American golfer had his doubts regarding the tech-infused league.
The golfer who is highly active on social media, was once again found engaging with users on X. One fan who announce that they were joining the Jupiter Links GC fandom. Homa would hilariously welcome them aboard.
This tweet from him though drew another response from an X user. The user claimed that they loved Homa and golf but claimed that the TGL would be “sooooo boring“.
The 34-year-old golfer would later react to this claim and confess that he had his doubts too. However, he changed his mind after he visited the arena in Palm Beach, Florida.
I’ve seen this a lot. To be honest I thought this too until I went to the arena. It blew my mind. I’m never trusting of how it will come off on tv cuz well, u know. But in person it will be one of the coolest things going. Hopefully it translates cuz they’ve thought of everything https://t.co/DQ0ACtyvYC

Max Homa shuts down popular sports radio talk show host regarding TGL
The TGL league so far has received mixed reactions from the sporting world. While some have applauded the league, some have criticized it. One popular sports radio talk show host was among them who did not seem pleased with the league. Max Homa would seemingly shut him down.
Veteran media personality Mike Francesa was the one who had strong words regarding the TGL of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. Several times the 70-year-old has been critical about Woods. This time he claimed that if this (TGL) is the future of sports, then the party is over.
I'm sure the great Tiger Woods, Rory and friends are getting richer. But if the TGL is the future of sports, then the party is over!

Homa, who had already made a post claiming that Francesa would be fuming at the moment, was quick to react to this. The golfer said that this would not be his tune if the New York Golf Club were not getting dominated in the first game.
Would be a different tune if NY wasn’t getting routed https://t.co/b8dilj3rn1

Homa will be action at the TGL next week along with his team. They will take on the Los Angeles Golf Club in the second match. Each week there will be only one match of the TGL as golfers will also participate in the upcoming PGA Tour and DP World Tour events.
