When it comes to the conversation regarding who is the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) in golf, the names of Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods always come up. This has happened once again as 6-time PGA Tour winner Max Homa gave his say on this matter.
The 33-year-old recently appeared on the Join The Lobby Podcast. During his conversation with host FaZe Swagg, Homa was asked about who he thinks is the ultimate GOAT of golf. In this, Homa snubbed Nicklaus over Woods.
Homa, though, did claim that he was a bit biased during this. The American golfer has several times claimed to be a fan of Woods and idolized him while growing up.
While discussing his decision to pick Woods over Nicklaus, Homa pointed out that the former won more PGA Tour events than the latter.
Nicklaus is currently third in the all-time PGA Tour wins stats with 73 wins. On the other hand, Woods is tied for first with Sam Sneed with 82 wins and needs one more to surpass him.
Max Homa taunts Justin Thomas after beating him on the greens
With the Fall schedule of the PGA Tour now underway, the number of some big names in the events has reduced. Despite this, stars like Max Homa and Justin Thomas are both set to compete in the ZoZo Championship this upcoming week in Japan.
Ahead of the tournament, the two golfers took part in a practice round. During this, Homa got the better of Thomas and celebrated wildly on the greens while taunting his PGA Tour rival.
In a video shared by the PGA Tour on X, Homa was seen shouting “I’m so back baby” while running around the course. Thomas, on the other hand, seemed disappointed with his failed attempt.

The 2024 season has seen several ups and downs for Max Homa. After an impressive performance at the Masters tournament in April where he achieved his career-best finish at a major championship, Homa’s form has dipped.
In his next 12 starts after the Masters, Homa only managed one top-10 finish and missed the cut in three events. This is something he would be hoping to improve at the ZoZo Championship.
